Thank you, Ram! I like this one too, in spite of the fact that it’s so abstract. I don’t know why, but I find it provocative & keep coming back to it, so I thought I’d share.
I will! Promise. I live in a pretty new development so seeing a bird in the winter is a treat (the developer razed the forest to build our cookie cutter houses, so they fled. Yes – I hate myself). The bunnies though!! They are all like: “Ain’t nothin’ stoppin’ us!” They are everywhere, huge and fast. And their babies that we get to see in spring/summer? The cuteness is too much! We do get a lot of snowy owls that descend upon our city from the Arctic. I stare in awe each time I’m lucky enough to spot one. I always consider it a good omen.
Come on up to Ottawa, Canada! We had a flurry of them last winter too! Outside on Montreal, the Quebec Police installed a traffic camera to monitor traffic patterns. Instead of traffic footage, a snowy owl took up residence on top of the camera pole, constantly photobombing throughout the day. It made national news up here (but then again, it seems to always be a slow news day in Canada – hahaha!). xo
That sounds amazing!! I have a girlfriend who can’t say enough good things about holidaying in Montreal… Maybe I’ll have to put it on my list of fun placed to visit. And Ottowa sounds like a fun place too … What’s your favorite place in Canada to visit and enjoy? 🙂
Montreal. Hands down!!! It’s a little slice of France just north of the border for you! The restaurants are incredible, Old Montreal truly looks like Paris, the people are really chic, the shopping is incredible – in the summer, it’s beautiful…It’s my favourite Canadian city behind Toronto and Vancouver. Our east coast is gorgeous too. Newfoundland, Prince Edward Island…friendly people, gorgeous landscapes!! xoxox
Simply beautiful 🙂

Very nice shot. I have a similar pic I took of my snowy backyard, except the mark in the snow are bunny prints. xo

Aw, bunny prints! I’ve been particularly fascinated with the tracks of birds lately. So elegant, like little hieroglyphs. 🙂
Take lots of pictures!
