It’s the giant tower that holds up the Sky Lift in Gatlinburg (basically a ski lift up the mountain there). I stood around at the top while everyone else was taking pictures of the view and I took these. :). I’m sure everyone thought I was crazy.
I know (and love) that you often look for the details everyone overlooks. But what was that? (Puzzled emoticon)
And Gatlinburg? After “Sevanner, Geawgia”? All very Civil war. 😉
Beautiful lines, the second one is great.

Looks like a flagpole or a boat mast… What is it, Ashley? 🙂

Gatlinburg, wow — we haven’t been there in ages. Well, I knew it was a pole of some sort. 😀

Pretty good guess!! 🙂
I’d never been… It is quite the tourist trap, but that’s fun now and again. 🙂

I fully understand. There are places I frequent now and again for the same type of furtive visit. 😀

Ha!
It’s the giant pole and cabling that holds up the Gatlinburg Skylift. I know it must seem strange, but I can’t help but think it’s beautiful. 🙂

Looked it up. Impressive. And I agree with you: Beauty lies in the details.
