hopeful words for a dark world {on Easter Sunday} …

sunclouds

Today is Easter Sunday: celebration of new life, forgiveness and light.

But.

This world can be dark.

Dangerous.

Brutal.

All week long, the violence tearing through this little planet of ours has been weighing heavily on my heart. So today, I thought I’d share a brief snatch of words giving me hope:

Courage, friends… For now, the darkness and the light dwell together…

But the darkness just can’t last.<3

  1. Thank you for the reminder sweet friend. My heart as been troubled too by all that has been happening. I have to keep reminding myself that we were not created to be afraid. The enemy wants to keep us in fear. The Father has already overcome the darkness and we are children of the light!

    1. We were not created to be afraid: I love that idea.

I think it’s easy to see fear as a natural, evolutionary part of the human condition: a survival mechanism we can’t live without. And I suppose that’s true, to a point. But so much if our fear is completely antithetical to the life we were meant for. And that’s a giant idea to get our fight-or-flight-wired neurons to accept, but I think it’s a game changer.

      Working on it. 🙂

Thank you for the reminder today. Miss you girl!! ❤

  2. Happy Easter Everyone! Always think positive and be happy as there is always light in us if we live a joyful life. There is always light from the dark. A new day is a new light and and new us. God bless us all.
